WORSHIP

Effective March 14th 2020, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and Massachusetts State Ordinances against public gatherings, BUMC has been worshiping online via our Facebook page every Sunday morning at 9:00 AM.

Once the ordinance has been lifted, and when our leadership determines it is safe to once again meet together, in-person Sunday worship at BUMC will remain at 9am in the center of town and at 10:45 AM at East Bridgewater UMC. We also provide access to our worship services beyond our sanctuary doors through live-streaming and on YouTube, as well as local cable channel BTV.

Our worship time together is spiritual, lively, varied, and intergenerational. It is the time when our church community comes together in song, dialogue, prayer & praise to celebrate our work, our mission, our growth, our spirituality, and our faith. We are a Christ-
centered, open-minded, dedicated congregation that enjoys being together and growing in faith and understanding. Newcomers and
visitors are always welcome and encouraged!

Our worship style is traditional, with an order of worship (bulletin) offered to allow full participation of all people including newcomers and seekers. Our theology is progressive, and you will find our pastor using different Biblical translations and a narrative/interpretive preaching style to convey the message.

Worship Continues with Christian Fellowship

We continue our worship immediately following the benediction with food, conversation, and fellowship in the church hall. This is an

important time for our members, newcomers, and guests to engage with our Christian community.

Who we are, at a glance:

We welcome ALL people as a member congregation of the Reconciling Ministries Network. As United Methodists, we have an obligation to bear a faithful Christian witness to Jesus Christ, the living reality at the center of the Church’s life and witness. To fulfill
this obligation, we intentionally seek to remain true to our Wesleyan heritage of social justice and critical reflection of our theological and Biblical inheritance.
